I think I should cure my love of old-tween/young-teenage girls.

It's okay for now because I'm still young, but...

Being an old lesbian pedophile would just be weird.

...No matter how I look at the above sentences, I sound like an old lesbian pedophile.

fate.

*cries*

Whyyyyyy do I have to want things that don't exist? DDDDD:

Objectively, I know perfectly well Kirarin Revolution is a really crappy anime, and as much as I love her, Koharu's a crappy voice actor, but..................................... I watch it and love it anyway, because it's Morning Musume's Kusumi fucking Koharu, the love of my life despite the fact that she is actually kind of annoying 90% of the time.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT HORRIBLE URGE THIS BLIND DEVOTION TO EVERYTHING KOHARU HAS GIVEN ME?

*sobs*

I WANT SHIPS YAOI.

I think, at this point, I would write a novel for whoever would write SHIPS yaoi.

THE FACT THAT SHIPS NOW HAVE REAL LIFE COUNTERPARTS IS NOT. HELPING.

(Ignore my craziness, haha. Unless you're willing to bribe me into doing things by watching a bit of crappy anime and writing me fic, pretend I haven't gone crazy...)

Goto Maki's back...

I don't know how to feel. -_-; Some people may remember that I was truly upset when Gomaki left and everyone thought she retired (because an unfortunate scandal happened at the same time, and who believes leaving artists when they say "it's not the scandal!"?)

But... On the other hand, she looks like this now... She has a spring on her nail. It looks like the black version of the spring on my MM spring 08 tour keychain.

I don't know. It's not that I don't like the look - actually, my first reaction was "neat!!" but then I was like "it's Gomaki..." and it's just weird. I like artists who have that sort of image, but it's Gomaki, with her huge western-style nose, the thirteen-year old from LOVE Machine, the girl I've adored in a vague disconnected way these last two years...

A woman I genuinely love.

Can that love for the Hello!Project Gomaki extend to a Rhythm Zone (Avex) Goto Maki?

I suppose I should just call her Goto Maki now. Like Kago Ai is no longer Aibon, I think Gomaki (and Gocchin too, especially) is gone. I wonder if this change is as painful for her as it is for me?

Things I like about SJ-M:

a) The cheoregraphy is so much cooler.
b) FINALLY THE STUPID "LET'S STAND IN A TRIANGLE!!!!" DANCE FORMATION IS GONE!
c) FINALLY THE STUPID "LET'S ALL BEND DOWN AND PRETEND WE'RE NOT HERE" DANCE MOVE HAS BEEN MADE DYNAMIC AND COOL!
d) Basically, as someone who understands neither Korean nor SJ-M's Chinese, the performances seem so much better to me. xD

Things I do not like about SJ-M:

a) Fandom's batshit insanity. Enough said.
b) The fact that no one bothered seemed to bother to put the members through pronunciation lessons.
c) That I have no idea what anyone is singing.

i'm liking this semi-hiatus thing!

Last day of midterms is tomorrow! But not spending fifty bazillion hours a day on lj is so refreshing I'm tempted to try it for a while longer. Actually, I was sorta-kinda-not-really on hiatus before midterms started, wasn't I? -_-; Like, I was checking things but not really caring. You know, five hundred hours a day as opposed to fifty bazillion.

(And, er... not writing anything! But you don't know that! Please don't mention it.)

At this rate, I'll be gone until my birthday! (And not writing anything.) And, you know, on my birthday, I'm going to Japan, and a while before I leave...

SUPER SMASH BROS. BRAWL IS COMING OUT!!!

...Yeah. For the uninformed, I am fanatically devoted to that game. Even more than with Melee, because damn they've been hyping Brawl for two years. Melee's release was a long time ago... I didn't even own the original, let alone care about the sequel at the time.

And plus, this time, I am fanatically devoted to two series that appear in SSBB! :DDDDDD

In conclusion: musicgasm. fangirlgasm. stagegasm. LIFEgasm.

Unfortunately, not a charactergasm. I'm thrilled that my two favorite characters from Melee are back (though Pikachu doesn't count! did anybody ever think....), but more pokemon please. (I can't be the only person that wants half the roster to be pokemon! ...Well, okay, maybe I am.)

Why, yes, I did spend the last two hours gorging on spoilers! Why do you ask?

Now that I think about it... A nintendo-characters-on-a-bus plot would be hilarious... I bet SSE is all emo, lolololololololololol.

A HUNDRED PLUS SONGS!!!!
(I would so buy a SSBB soundtrack. Except it would probably not happen due to royalty issues.)

...Does anyone actually believe that Super Smash Bros Brawl will be the last SSB?

...*rolls eyes*

Unless SSBB is delayed so often that the world ends first...

...Okay, okay, I'm making cheap shots and taking quotes out of context. Here's the context, from here:

"I felt that a large premise of the project was that this was not a series that would continue indefinitely. After all, it wasn’t possible to keep on increasing the characters that are entitled to take the field in Smash Bros. And even if you try to utilize new familiar characters that resonate with the fans, you can’t get each and every gamer to be happy. Just like its predecessor then, we decided to design the game as if it was the last one in the series."

By the way? I think I'm in love with Sakurai, SSBB's director... person... thing. No idea what he does, exactly. Game development confuses me. But, anyway, I think he's hot. And has a hilarious writing style.

AND FINAL FANTASY VII'S WRITER IS WRITING SSBB'S PLOT. I GUESS THAT MEANS SSBB WILL MAKE ZERO SENSE.
I love Sakurai for rejecting this gem of a plot: "Some of the characters are on a bus on the way to the stadium. Samus is there. Donkey Kong is there and Snake is watching the bus from afar."

The only group I've ever liked for their talent.

The video's nearly five years old... I wasn't a jpop fan back then, but Aa! was the BEST. UNIT. EVER. Maybe I just think that because Airi was a cute nine-year-old, Miyabi was a cute eleven-year-old, and Reina... was a cute thirteen-year-old? Well, she probably weighed more back then... -_-;

I want Aa! back...

Srsly, someone please graduate Reina from Morning Musume, Miyabi and Airi from their respective groups, and make Aa! a full-time unit...

>.<

I IGNORE HELLO!PROJECT FOR A WEEK AND GUESS WHAT?

GOCCHIN'S LEAVING H!P

RATHER, SHE'S LEFT ALREADY

(for the uninformed, Goto Maki, Gocchin, is an ex-member of Morning Musume, Japan's super girl group, formerly signed to Hello!Project, MM's management company. I'm not a huge Gocchin fan and I don't believe in "the death of MM" or whatever, but...)

HOLY

THIS QUALIFIES AS A CRISIS

I...

What can I say? I'm not, and never have been, a Gocchin fan in particular, but... I watched her music videos. I watched her perform. I watched her change. I saw her image change.

It's not like Aibon, Nono, and Iida, who all left after I became a Hello!Project fan... They were all more-or-less inactive by the time I was a fan. Gocchin, though - so much happened to her, stuff that I watched.

She says she's still in the music industry. Well, there's that at least...

I don't even know how to feel.

I would cry. I want to cry. But... Gocchin's last words at her last H!P were "bye bye". No report that she cried. I can't in good conscience... It's a happy ending of this Morning Musume thing for her, so I have to smile... So, Gocchin, sayonara! We'll miss you and hope to see you again.

Edit, the next day: Apparently Gocchin's still with UFA, Hello!Project's company. flkds;lgk;ldskg;ldsfk;dskf;dskf;dskf; wtf people you made me panic and... actually, I'm still panicky and sad, but you could've told us she's coming back for sure...

Okay, so the second thing needs explaining, I think... The first is, well, I'm in love with Super Junior, but I talk about them, like, all the time. More importantly, Koharu! :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD That is, Kusumi Koharu of Morning Musume, this Japanese girl group.

I like never say it, but I LOVE KOHARU

LIKE, MORE THAN ALL OF SUPER JUNIOR PUT TOGETHER

(and lots of people will know how much i love super junior)

Koharu. lfjds;jf;dslf I love you so much I have no words

Edit: speaking of Super Junior, I think some of my flist is interested in art in general?

Super Junior art!

IE + lj + internet connection, loves, STOP EATING MY POSTS. I don't know which one it is, but stop.

Anyway, I was rambling about Kirarin Revolution and the serious need for some fanfic to please my idol-slashing little self. Was too sick to properly preserve, is too sick to retype.

Here. A screenshot of SHIPS, the aforeimplicated idol duo that needs to be slashed. Badly.

I'm all serious-writing'd out, so why not make a (analytical) post about nwp? Oh, my logic, how I love you! My excuse is that this is "supposed to help me write nwp fic".

Warning: No screencaps, hardly any squee. All rambly character discussion and mean stuff. I also haven't watched nwp in several months, so this post is insanely late and I'm probably confused.

Video game companies should use units sold as their measure of success, and the numbers released. Record companies should use units shipped.

Of course, they get it backwards. Silly, silly, people.

Why? Well, when a store gets copies of a CD, they pay the company, right? Whether or not the CD is sold, the record company gets the same amount of money. After all, units shipped is really "units sold to retailers". Profit is the same whether or not the artist gets that shiny Oricon rank.

But video game companies use units shipped (to be fair, this is mostly aimed at Sony.) for consoles. They should use units sold, because boxes in the store don't cause people to buy video games, which is where most profit comes in. (To anyone unfamiliar with video games - Sony and Microsoft take hits on their consoles. Microsoft lost $4 billion on the Xbox, prompting the internets to proclaim MS should've made a nuke with that money and bombed Japan, eliminating the competition. Nintendo makes money, but a big chunk of its revenue comes from games, too.)

Oh, world, how much I love your sillyness.

Oh, self, I love how you mis-spell easy words.

I dislike talking about Hello!Project because clearly I am not forty, rabid, and hairy, and have no desire to be seen as such.

...Okay, fine, that was harsh and undeserved. There are H!P wotas with brains and no hairy-ness, just... not that many.

...I admit I hate H!P wotas. I never really post in the forums and such because of that. I avoid the fans like the plague, and I wish I didn't have to, because, dammit, I love MoMusu and Berryz and maybe even C-ute.

I know this seems totally strange considering I never talk about her, but I love Kusumi Koharu just as much as Kame. Actually, if I were on a desert island that magically had electricity, I would probably take Koha's files over Kame's. If I really had to choose a favorite, it would be Koha.

And I would 100% take MoMusu over KAT-TUN, and 500% take H!P over JE.

I know this sounds really weird. Sorry.

Anyway, my love for Koha has finally overridden my hate of H!P fans and my knowledge that no one who reads my lj (does anyone?) cares about H!P.

Yes, I am aware I probably haven't made any sense and will not. H!P makes me a little rabid, too.

My prediction: Bokura no Machi de will be #3 on the Oricon double week and sell 60k, bringing Bokura's total sales to equal Signal's total sales.

Alternatively: #2. Definitely 40k to 100k sales, though. 99% sure on sales numbers.

ETA: #2, 30k sales. I thought there would be new releases over the holidays, but I guess I thought wrong. Mr Children is at #1 again.

I will never understand the Music Station hosts. It's an old man and an annoying lady. Who didn't wear a bra during MSSL 2005.

Yeah.

That lady is so goddamn annoying. (This either bears repeating or I'm so stupid I forgot I said it already.)

She reminds me of high school girls. (fandom wank juris-whatever law, anyone?) Tries too hard.

The ruckus over Jinjin's lines in Real Face - "who's going to sing them?" "noooooooooooooooooo!" "noes!"...

Well, I was going to make a snarky comment, but I guess I would act five if Kame left, so...

But, anyway, le ruckus reminded me that I have to make a post about "Kame and KAT-TUN and sales".
